‘A love that reflects’

Today we’re reflecting on examples of mothers and women of faith in Scripture. Their stories reveal courage, trust, persistence, sacrifice and God’s faithfulness through many different life circumstances.

Choose one woman’s story from the Bible (here are some suggested stories, or you’re welcome to select another example you’d like to explore). Spend a few minutes reading the passages together, then discuss the questions below.

1. What stands out to you most about her story or experience?

2. What do you find challenging, surprising or encouraging in her story?

3. What part of her story do you wish we knew more about?

4. Read Proverbs 31:25–31. What qualities in this passage connect with this woman’s life?

5. Read Matthew 23:37 and Luke 13:34. What do these verses suggest about God’s protective and compassionate love?

6. What can we learn from this woman’s story that we can apply to our own lives and faith today?
