Discussion questions 12 September 2026
These questions are a starting point to help spark discussion that digs deeper into today’s topic – feel free to adapt or add additional questions of your own.
1. We often view worship as a “luxury” or a response to a victory. What changes in our spiritual posture when we begin to view worship as a weapon for the battle?
2. Why is it that our most powerful praise is often forged in our hardest seasons rather than our easiest ones?
3. Acts 16:25 notes that when Paul and Silas were in prison, they were singing at midnight. What does “midnight” represent in your life right now, and what keeps you from singing in that darkness?
4. Ephesians 4:2 says, ‘Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.’ How might choosing humility, patience and grace change the way we approach our relationships?
5. Read Habakkuk 3:17–18. What is one practical choice you can make this week to cultivate a lifestyle of praise, even if your circumstances haven’t changed? What will you do, and what might help you follow through?
