Discussion questions 7 November 2026

These questions are a starting point to help spark discussion that digs deeper into today’s topic – feel free to adapt or add additional questions of your own.

1. What idea, story or Bible passage from the sermon stood out to you most? Why?

2. “Singing doesn’t just express faith, it inspires faith.” Have you ever experienced a song strengthening your faith when you were discouraged?

3. Jeremiah wrote: “Great is Your faithfulness,” (Lamentations 3:22-24) while Jerusalem was still in ruins. What does it mean to have hope before your circumstances change?

4. Jesus drew on Psalm 22 during His suffering on the cross. What does Jesus’ example teach us about being honest with God about our pain while still holding onto hope?

5. What “song in the night” do you need right now? Is there a promise, Scripture or worship song that you need to hold onto in this season?

6. “Hallelujah” is a declaration of hope in the darkness. What is one thing you can praise God for today, even if something in your life is still unresolved?
