Cast Your Worries Away
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:34 NLT.
We naturally worry. But worry does not bring about change – especially worries over things we cannot change.
When we worry, we begin to worship our problem. A worry is a care that has not been “cast” to God.
1 Peter 5:7 NLT states, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
Throw your cares to God. Cast your worries over to Him. When you hold on to your cares they begin to weigh you down. God doesn’t want you to carry that weight. Don’t hold on to that pressure. Don’t invite the spirit of heaviness to loom over you. Choose to cast your cares, fears, worries, anxieties and doubts over to God and always remember there is a difference between planning and worrying.
Luke 14:28 NLT states, “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?”
Planning is not worrying. Planning is proper stewardship over an opportunity or resource.
Proverbs 12:27 NLT states,
“Lazy people don’t even cook the game they catch, but the diligent make use of everything they find.”
Plan in faith, execute with wisdom, and leave the rest up to God. He has our best interest at heart. He is King over the universe.
