Discussion Questions 10 October 2024 “Migration, Memorials and Milestones”

These questions are here to stimulate dialogue about today’s topic – feel free to skip around or discuss items not listed below.

  1. What was most memorable for you from the sermon (whether you liked or disliked it)?
  2. How has God helped you this week/month/year? What modern-day practices, symbols or habits can serve as spiritual memorials to remind us of God’s help?
  3. In the Bible, the Israelites often trusted God’s unusual strategies for victory (like walking around Jericho – Joshua 6). How does that relate to challenges we face today? Are there times when trusting God’s plan seems counterintuitive?
  4. What does it mean to prioritise building altars rather than ultimatums? How can worship and prayer impact / heal our relationships in times of conflict?
  5. What “battles” are you facing today? Pray together to close.

Thank you for coming today and contributing to our discussion.
