A study exploring the book of Romans.
These questions are a starting point to help spark discussion that digs deeper into today’s topic – feel free to adapt or add additional questions of your own.
1. Have you ever received a gift that you felt you didn’t deserve? How did you respond, and why do you think you felt that way?
2. When you hear the words “justified” or “justification,” what comes to mind? How would you define these words in your own language?
3. Read Romans 3:21–26. According to this passage, how has God made His righteousness available to us?
4. Read Romans 3:28. What does it mean to be justified by faith rather than by works of the law? Why is this distinction so important?
5. Read Romans 5:1–5. What are the blessings and benefits of being justified by faith? Which one stands out to you most, and why?
6. Read Romans 5:12–21. What contrast does Paul make between Adam and Jesus? How does this passage show that God’s grace is greater than our sin?
