1. Can you think of an experience of serving or travelling that stayed with you? How did it change the way you see people, yourself, or God?

2. James 2:15-17 challenges us to put faith into action. What does this teach us about what genuine faith looks like in everyday life?

3. When does our desire to serve others risk becoming more about us than about them? What might we gain from serving, and how might those motivations influence the way we serve?

4. When we serve in another culture or community, how can we listen well and partner with local people, rather than assuming we know what they need?

5. How might we bring that same spirit of listening, humility and partnership into the way we engage with people in our own community? What is one step we could take this week?
