  1. The parable of the Good Samaritan challenges us to expand our definition of “neighbour.” Who are some groups of people today that might be our “neighbors” but whom we struggle to accept or include?
  2. Why is it difficult to extend compassion and mercy to those we label as wrongdoers?
  3. How can our pride and bias blind us to the suffering of others and prevent us from showing compassion?
  4. How does acknowledging our own flaws affect the way we view and treat others?
  5. How has your own vulnerability allowed you to connect with others and show empathy?
  6. Why do you think Jesus chose to spend time with tax collectors and sinners, even though He knew their faults? What does this teach us about the nature of love and grace?
