Discussion questions 29 November 2025

These questions are a starting point to help spark discussion that digs deeper into today’s topic – feel free to adapt or add additional questions of your own.

1. Think of a time someone invited you to try something simple, like a new food or a new activity, and it impacted you more than you expected. How is that similar to the way Jesus invites us to “come and see”?

2. Philip had an existing friendship with Nathanael before he invited him to “come and see” (John 1:45–46). Why do you think trust and relationship matter when inviting someone to explore faith? In what ways can a small group be intentionally building these kinds of trusting relationships within their own community or social circles?

3. Read and reflect on John 6:8-9 [click to read online]. What situation in your life feels impossible, yet might be something Jesus is inviting you to bring to Him? How does this story remind us that our role is not to ‘fix’, but simply to ‘bring’?

4. “You can’t bring people to Jesus if you haven’t met Him. People need to experience Him.” What does a genuine, firsthand experience of Jesus look like in everyday life, beyond a one-time salvation event? How can we intentionally cultivate a deep, ongoing experience of Jesus so that our invitation to others is authentic and powerful?

5.  What’s one step you can take this week to experience Jesus more deeply, or to invite someone to “come and see”?
