  1. Can you think of a time when someone showed you unconditional love or support, similar to how God loves us, even when we don’t respond perfectly?
  2. What does it mean to you personally that God is willing to bear the cost of human rejection or negative responses to His love?
  3. How do you understand God’s willingness to anticipate and prepare for human responses, even before we act?
  4. Can you think of specific ways in your life where God has shown His faithfulness to the promises He has made?
  5. What other examples in the Bible show God’s willingness to bear disappointment in relationship with His people, similar to His relationship with Abraham?
  6. What aspects of the covenant God made with Abraham stand out to you personally, and why?
  7. In what ways does the story of God’s covenant with Abraham shape your understanding of God’s character and affect your relationship with Him?
