Discussion Questions 9 Nov 2024 “For Such a Time”

These questions are here to stimulate dialogue about today’s topic – feel free to skip around or discuss items not listed below.

  1. What was most memorable for you from the sermon (whether you liked or disliked it)?
  2. Have you ever felt that a specific situation or relationship was something God put in your life ‘for such a time as this’? How did that impact your decisions and actions?
  3. Both Queen Esther and Corrie Ten Boom faced circumstances where they had to choose between personal safety and helping others. What do you think inspired these two women to choose self-sacrifice?
  4. Corrie Ten Boom encouraged people to ‘see things rightly, with love.’ What do you think this means? How does this perspective change the way we respond to injustice, hurt, or hatred?
  5. Think about your own life today. Is there a situation or relationship where you feel called to act ‘for such a time as this’? What might it look like to approach it with love and courage, even if it’s difficult or requires sacrifice?”

Thank you for coming today and contributing to our discussion!
