Emmanuel : God With Us

Today as we reflect on the meaning of God with us, here are some questions to consider:

  1. What’s one Christmas tradition—serious or silly—that you’ve always enjoyed?

  2. When you think of Christmas, what’s the first word or image that comes to mind?

  3. If you could describe this year in one word as Christmas approaches, what would it be?

  4. When the world feels heavy, what do you usually do: distract yourself, talk it through, or sit quietly with it?
  5. Why do you think “Do not be afraid” shows up so often in the Christmas story?
  6. What does “God with us” sound like to you—comforting, challenging, confusing, or hopeful? Why?
  7. How is Christmas (or the birth of Jesus) a sign that God hasn’t abandoned the world?

  8. What’s one small way someone could reflect Emmanuel—God with us—to another person this week?

Thank you for coming & sharing!
