Guidelines for posting:

Guidelines for posting in MCAC Community Social Media:

📜 1. Purpose & Scope

These guidelines ensure our online conversations remain welcoming, respectful, and spiritually edifying. They apply to all members participating in any official church chat (e.g., group messaging apps, web forums, social-media groups).

🤝 2. Respectful & Friendly Speech

Use kind language. Speak to one another with grace and courtesy, as encouraged by Ephesians 4:29.

Stay on topic. Keep discussions aligned with the group’s purpose (prayer requests, fellowship, announcements).

Avoid sarcasm or harsh tone. Written words can be misread—if in doubt, choose gentler phrasing.

Honor different perspectives. Listen before responding, and assume good intentions.

🔒 3. Privacy & Confidentiality

What’s shared here, stays here. Personal prayer requests, testimonies, or burdens are private unless the sharer explicitly says otherwise.

No screenshots without permission. Always ask and receive clear consent before capturing or reposting any chat content.

Respect boundaries. Do not tag, message, or call someone outside normal group use hours (e.g., late at night) unless it’s urgent.

📸 4. Media & Content Sharing

Obtain consent before posting photos or videos of other members—especially children and youth.

Keep content appropriate. No graphic or explicit images, political campaigning, or commercial advertising.

Share only verified resources. Before reposting devotionals, news links, or theological materials, check that they come from trustworthy sources.

🛡️ 5. Safety & Reporting

No bullying or harassment. Any form of intimidation, ridicule, or exclusion is not tolerated.

Report concerns promptly. If you see abusive language or suspect someone’s well-being is at risk, notify a moderator or group leader privately.

⚖️ 6. Moderation & Accountability

Moderators have the authority to warn, mute, or remove posts/members who violate these guidelines.

Appeals process. If you believe a moderation action was unjust, contact the lead pastor or designated appeals coordinator.

📈 7. Encouragement & Growth

Affirm one another. Use emojis, “Amen,” or written affirmations to build up fellow members.

Invite new members graciously. Share group rules with newcomers and help them feel at home.

Pray together. Reserve a weekly thread or time for collective prayer requests and praise reports.
