  1. In your opinion, what makes someone an “ordinary” person, and how do ordinary people often contribute to society or their communities in extraordinary ways?
  2. The passage mentions that the small group of women led by Lydia were people of prayer. How do you think prayer can transform individuals and communities? Can you share a personal experience of how prayer has had an impact in your life or someone you know?

  4. The story of Lydia emphasizes putting the mission of spreading the gospel above personal comfort and recognition. How do you prioritize mission or service in your life, and what challenges do you face in doing so?
  5. Do you agree with the idea that our impact on the world reaches further than we may ever know, and we may never receive credit for it? Why or why not? Can you share an example of when you felt your impact was greater than you initially realized?
  6. The message highlights the importance of community and collective contributions to the mission. How can your local community or church work together to achieve a common goal or mission? What role do you see yourself playing in this?
  7. In what ways can we apply the principles discussed in the passage to our modern, fast-paced, and technologically advanced society? How might the concept of being “ordinary people” translate into the 21st century?
  8. What do you think might be the legacy of your life or the legacy of your local community or church? How can you actively work toward leaving a positive and lasting impact on those around you?
