30 Dec 2023 Discussion Questions: “Atonement: A Meaningful Reset for the New Year”

  1. Have you made any New Year’s resolutions? Why or why not?
  2. What do you find interesting or challenging about the Day of Atonement?
  3. We tend to focus on personal, individual spirituality. What changes when we consider collective or corporate responsibility ? Communal relationship with God and each other?
  4. Do you agree that forgiveness comes in stages? Have you experienced forgiveness in this way?
  5. Ceasing and resting are necessary for growth. Why is it so hard to stop and rest? To be silent?
